Follow these steps to ensure your bike is packed and shipped safely and securely.

• Removal of Pedals and Front Wheel

Most of the time, the pedals pierce the shipping box, so removing the pedals with a spanner is better. You must also remove the saddle and the front wheel using either a quick-release button or a spanner. It is better to use bubble wrap to cover the bike parts and place them in the shipping box. Removing the parts will result in a reduction in the length of the bike.

• Re-Positioning of handlebars

To make your bike more narrow for shipping, turn the handlebars to align with the length of the bike frame. To do this, use an Allen key to loosen the stem and adjust the handlebars. It will reduce the width of your bike and make it easy to ship.

• Be sure to protect the frame and Projected Parts.

 If you’re not using a bike case, protecting all parts of your bike, especially those that protrude, such as the wheel axles and handlebars, is essential. You can wrap them in bubble wrap and secure them with tape to prevent any damage during shipping. To cover the bike frame, a practical solution is to use foam pipe insulation, which provides a cushioning layer to protect against scratches and impact.

• Remember to Attach the loose parts to the main frame.

 It is important to attach the loose parts to the main frame. One way to do this is by wrapping tape around the parts to keep them in place and not letting the tape stick to the paintwork. Alternatively, you can tie the loose parts to the frame with sturdy string or cable ties. It will help ensure that everything arrives safely and securely at its destination.

• Placing of the Bike

Put your bike into a sturdy, double-walled cardboard box, and ensure all bike parts are included.

• Fill the empty spaces in the box.

 Fill all empty spaces between the bike and the box’s walls with padding materials, such as bubble wrap, packaging peanuts, or crumpled newspaper. That will help to secure the bike and protect it from any impact or jostling during transit.

• Place your order and seal the box.

Once you’ve made the booking, you can print all the necessary documentation, including an address label, a backup label, and any customs information required for your destination. Before sealing the box, place a backup copy of the address label for added security.
